The demand of commodities by the ever-growing population leads to rapid expansion in industrial activities, which eventually causes severe pollution in environment. In spite of stringent standards for effluent discharge, stack emission and disposal of solid/hazardous wastes, industries are often unable to comply with these. It is either due to lack of affordability or due to concern about possible increase in product price, which can pose a hard competition in the market. Now-a-days, various advanced and cutting-edge technologies have been innovated, which are sophisticated and require for skilled manpower for operation and maintenance. These technologies are likely to be cost-effective for large-scale industries only.Medium to small scale industrial units can go for them, only in form a cluster, which may not be feasible always. Under this circumstance, there is an urgent need to develop some advanced technologies for pollution control, which would be techno-economically viable for all categories of industry. Moreover, complete stabilization and reuse/recovery of wastes have now also become desirable for the abatement of pollution around the world. In order to highlight on the above issues and to explore the scope of developing newer technologies in the arena of industrial pollution control, the present international conference has been dedicated. The conference is oriented to create an effective forum for the environmental scientists, engineers, technologist and the industry persons for sharing their research initiatives and real-life experience through oral and poster presentation of the technical papers on relevantfocus themes.
MODE OF CONDUCTING THE CONFERENCE
The First International Conference on Sustainable Advanced Technologies
for Environmental Management (SATEM-2023) will be conducted through
hybrid mode under Google Meet Platform. Participants must clearly mention
his/her preference of presentation in the Registration Form. Outstation
participants only may go for online paper presentation. There will be a
schedule of the conference with specific Meeting Links for Online Mode. All
such links will be sent to the participants in advance. Respective participants
should have an active Google mail account for joining in all the sessions of
the conference.
