ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
In the advent of rapid population growth industrial activity is expanding
day by day. As a result, the natural resources are now under a severe stress
leading to environmental degradation. The level of environmental pollution
alarmingly increases, in spite of various control measures. Advanced
technologies have been developed to address this problem, but those are
not found to be sustainable in many cases. Skilled operational requirements
and high recurring expenses also made them unsuitable for a long run.
Under this situation, technological thrust needs to be given for introducing
sustainable approach in the control of water, air, soil and noise pollution.
Moreover, techno-economically viable methods are to be innovated for the
emerging contaminants, which can cause serious threat to the environment.
In order to disseminate on the above issues and to explore the research
initiatives in the field of sustainable technologies, the 1st and 2nd National
Conference on Sustainable Advanced Technologies for Environmental
Management (SATEM-2017 and SATEM-2019) were held in 2017 and 2019
respectively.
The present international conference (SATEM–2023) is the upgraded
Third version of the earlier conferences, which will be held in Hybrid (Online
and Offline) mode. The conference is oriented to create an effective forum
for the environmental scientists, engineers, technologist and the industry
persons for sharing their research initiatives and real-life experience through
oral presentation of the technical papers on relevant focus themes.
