Dr. Ramesh Goel
Dr. Ramesh Goel is an environmental engineering professor and the graduate director of the civil & environmental engineering department at the University of Utah. He researches the interface of process engineering, ecosystem sustainability, and environmental microbiology, explicitly focusing on nutrient management in municipal wastewater treatment, innovations in activated sludge processes, harmful algal blooms, virology, and computer bioinformatics. The United States National Science Foundation, USEPA, and the US Department of Defense fund his research projects, the US Department of Interior, several local agencies, and water quality boards. Dr. Goel has published over 100 papers in Journals like Nature Communications, Environmental Science and Technology, Water Research, Bioresource Technology, Environmental Pollution, Chemosphere, Science of the Total Environment, Scientific Reports, and more. He is the associate editor of the Environmental Engineering Science Journal, Chemosphere, and Journal of Hazardous Materials Letters. He also serves as an editorial board member of several journals of international repute.
Prof. Sharad Gokhale
Prof. Sharad Gokhale has a Ph.D. from IIT Delhi in Air Quality
(Year: 2004) and he is a Professor and Head of the Department of
Civil Engineering of IIT Guwahati. He has set up Environmental Air
and Noise Pollution Research Laboratory and mainly conducts
research in applied meteorology and mitigation of air and noise
impacts including urban air quality, dispersion and chemical
processes, urban environmental noise, and PM 2.5 , PM 10 , and black
carbon.
Prof. Gokhale has vast experience of mentoring numerous Post-doc,
Ph.D, M.Tech and B.Tech students in IIT Guwahati. He has published
a plethora of research articles in different national and internal
journals and conferences. Prof. Gokhale has been working as PI and
Co-PI of different project activities of State and Central Government.
He is the nodal advisor of North-Eastern India of the NCAP Program.
Prof. Brajesh K Dubey
Prof Brajesh Kr. Dubey is presently Professor – Resource
Recovery and Circular Engineering, Dept of Civil Engg, Chair -
School of Water Resources at the Indian Institute of
Technology – Kharagpur (IIT-KGP), India. He is well known
globally as a Waste Management and Life Cycle Analysis (LCA
Expert. Dr. Dubey has over 18 years (post PhD) of socially
focused applied research experience within the broad fields of
environmental, sustainable/resilient systems and circular
economy approaches, addressing the nexus among
sustainability, resiliency, infrastructure, waste, energy, health,
and the environment including advocating the need of science-
based policy. His research has been funded by several
national, international agencies such as United Nations
Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO); National
Geographic Society (NGS), USA; International Transport
Forum (ITF) - Organisation for Economic Cooperation and
Development (OECD), Paris, France; World Resource Institute,
UK; Alliance to End Plastic Waste, USA and Circular Initiative,
Singapore; Canadian Foundation for Innovation (CFI); Natural
Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada
(NSERC); Indo-German Science and Technology Centre;
Department of Science and Technology (DST), India; Florida
Department of Environmental Protection; Auckland Regional
Council, New Zealand among others. Prior to PhD, he has 4
years of industry experience as a Civil/Environmental Engineer
in petrochemical, refineries and offshore oil platforms.
Dr. Dubey is author of 150 journal papers, 4 edited
books/conference proceedings, 25 book chapters, and 27 full
conference papers (with H-index of 45. I10-index of 119 with
over 7,900 citations as per Google Scholar). Dr. Dubey has
delivered more than 75 invited presentations in various
countries in the world including Canada, USA, China, Germany,
India, South Korea, Thailand, and U.K.). Dr. Dubey has served
or currently serves as an Associate Editor or Editorial Board
Members of 5 different journals, served on various professional
committees, including the State Level Advisory Committee for
Solid Waste Management, Ministry of Urban Development and
Urban Affairs, Government of West Bengal, Kolkata, India. Co-
